Do you like to wear hats, but don't like how hot your head gets from them? Don't like wiping away all that sweat from the heat built up inside the cap?
Breezy Cap is our solution to this problem. The walls of our hat are made of slanted, horizontally oriented honeycomb-shaped plastic, which lets plenty of air flow in and out. At the same time, the depth of the honeycomb design prevents the midday sun from reaching your head.
We used a mathematical formula relating the local inclination of the wall to the size of the openings, the depth of the honeycomb, and the height of the sun over the horizon, to calculate the optimal protection from the sun's rays, while still allowing ample air flow. This formula is included in our patent application. Intuitively the Breezy Cap works like this:

at the same time the honeycomb-shaped cells are deep enough to prevent midday sun rays from reaching your head
Honeycomb-shaped walls of Breezy Caps are made of flexible thermoplastic polyurethane and have 3.5 mm wide openings. Two colors: white and black are available. Velcro® straps allow the size to be adjusted form 6 7/8" to 7 3/8" (55 cm - 59 cm).
We are the Arkusz family from Chandler, Arizona. We applied for and received a patent on the Breezy Cap idea, and started our own limited liability company to produce and sell this new type of hat.
How did we come up with the idea? Well if you've ever lived in or visited Arizona, you know how hot it gets during the summer, and especially when in direct sunlight. Regular hats are good at protecting you from the sun, but if you do any kind of physical activity outside you start to sweat almost immediately in them. The reason is because they usually only have four little holes which don't allow adequate air flow. Trucker hats with their crowns made of fine mesh are slightly better for air flow, but they on the other hand don't shield your head from the sun as well. These problems led us to the Breezy Cap invention.
